The Story Behind Sleepmaker
A good bed makes great sleep possible. This is what we make at Sleepmaker. Lie on any of our mattresses and besides a feeling of immediate comfort, you lie upon a history of over 80 years old.
Our story began in 1934 when Dunlop Bedding came to Australia. After buying over a few Australian mattress companies, Sleepmaker was born. Bed-making facilities mushroomed across the country. And it didn’t take long for comfy Sleepmaker beds to make their way into Aussie bedrooms.
If you happen to visit the home of an Australian today, take a peek at their bedroom. Chances are, you might just see us there greeting you.

Sleepmaker has also since expanded to New Zealand and a few Asean countries. So much for people who simply loved making good beds. And still do.
